FAHAD ALNAYMAH STUDIO

Fahad Al Naymah (b. 1978) is a Saudi visual artist known for his abstract depictions of camels in mixed media paintings and drawings.

Hailing from the Saudi town of Dhurma, the artist draws inspiration from his surroundings near the Tuwaiq mountains, which are steeped in Bedouin culture. He translates this environment into works that evoke the spirit of the desert, camel herds, and mud houses, employing an abstract expressionist art style often marked by gestural brush strokes.

The Riyadh-based artist began capturing the flora and fauna around him in simple sketches from an early age. At 20, he launched his artistic career, participating in exhibitions such as the recent group show More than Meets the Eye Maraya Concert Hall, AlUla (2024). Al Naymah held his solo exhibition Ode of Lines, at the Bahrain Arts Society, Jidhafs, Bahrain, in 2023. His printed mask, Camel Race (2021), is part of the Islamic World collection at the Royal Ontario Museum.
