JAX District is changing the art scene in Riyadh
The heart of art in the Saudi capital is changing the game.
You might have been wondering what all of those murals, flags and billboards dotting the Riyadh streets on social media were all about, or what those “I am Arts” and “I am Inspiration” quotes sporting a warehouse emblem mean. Well you don’t have to guess anymore.
JAX District has just revealed that these series of activations have all been part of its new campaign, aiming to celebrate your inner artist and pushing you to seek inspiration everywhere, becoming a core aspect of Diriyah’s Home of Creativity.
So what’s this all about? Here’s everything you need to know about the campaign and about the artsy space of JAX District.
JAX District’s new art campaign
The new art campaign flooding social media is all about finding the artist within you and seeking inspiration, and what better way to do this than visiting Diriyah’s art district and immersing yourself in the space?
JAX District is promising many exciting creative exhibitions, starting from the Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art’s (SAMoCA) newest exhibition on Thursday February 15 titled In the Night, to the return of Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale from Tuesday February 20.
The area is not only made for browsing art, but you can also have a culture-filled hangout while grabbing a cup of coffee with friends.
What is JAX District?
JAX District is the art district in Diriyah that is all about art. Be it visual or performing, the area has dedicated spaces for all. Formerly founded in 1975 as an industrial area with factories and warehouses in Western Riyadh, the area was reinvented to become an artsy space in 2021.
The district is home to over 100 warehouses, including Riyadh’s newest art museum the Saudi Arabian Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMoCA) which is set to be the largest collecting institution in the world.

The district is open 24/7 but spaces inside the art space have their own operating times.
