Riyadh, SPA — Art Week Riyadh, currently taking place in Riyadh’s JAX District, showcases distinctive artworks, reflecting the Kingdom’s cultural movement on a global platform.
French artist Kader Attia presented captivating artworks exploring modern civilization and societal shifts by using fragments of broken mirrors to reflect fragmented perspectives of the world.
Among the standout exhibits is artist Ayesha Sultana’s “Breath Count” series. Initiated in 2018, this series features innovative sculptures of carved marks on clay-coated paper, documenting her breath at different life moments. Her use of earth-related clay and tree-representing paper creates a connection between nature and humanity, inviting contemplation on human and environmental issues.
