Ayman Zedani (b. 1984) is a Riyadh and Sharjah-based Saudi artist whose investigative practice works to upend our comprehension of the past and challenge our acceptance of the future. Zedani’s work includes videos, installations and immersive environments that consider the future of the Gulf. The artist’s resultant projects are platforms that invite audiences to observe human and non-human symbiosis, leaving his narratives open to a multitude of interpretations and questions.
Zedani has been awarded a number of prizes for his work, including the Ithra Art Prize (2018) and the Misk Art Grant (2020). The artist was also a finalist nominee in Saudi Arabia’s National Cultural Awards (2023).
